Instructions for Course Selections and Registrations
1) STUDENT SELECTIONS FOR THE COURSES WILL BE HELD ON SEPTEMBER 30-OCTOBER 1-2-3-4 2024 ACCORDING TO THE PROGRAM ON OUR OFFICIAL WEBSITE mgsb.metu.edu.tr.
2) THERE IS NO SELECTION FOR THE COURSES HISTORY OF JAZZ, SPECIAL TOPICS IN ARTS I (PREHİSTORİC ART), MYTHOLOGY AND ICONOGRAPHY, SPECIAL TOPICS IN ART (COMMUNİCATİON IN MUSİC AND FİNE ARTS), SOLFEGGIO AS INDICATED ON THE PROGRAM ON THE WEBSITE. OUR STUDENTS CAN REGISTER FOR THESE COURSES ON SEPTEMBER 25-26-27, 2024 AT "register.metu.edu.tr". REGISTRATIONS WILL OPEN ON SEPTEMBER 25, 2024 AT 14.00.
3) STUDENTS WHO ADD COURSES WITHOUT ATTENDING THE SELECTIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED INTO THE COURSES (STUDENTS MUST PARTICIPATE THE SELECTIONS BEFORE ADDING THE COURSE THEIR SCHEDULE).
4) COURSE REGISTRATIONS OF STUDENTS WHO ARE ACCEPTED IN THE SELECTIONS ARE MADE DURING THE ADD-DROP WEEK.
5) 4TH YEAR STUDENTS WHO ARE IN THE POSITION OF GRADUATION (who would take courses from the Department of Music and Fine Arts at first time) CANNOT TAKE APPLIED COURSES (except EXPERIMENTAL STUDIO AND VISUAL THINKING, DRAWING, MYTHOLOGY AND ICONOGRAPFY, MEDIA ECONOMICS, INTERNATIONAL NEWS, ADVERTISING AND COMMUNICATION, CLASSIC GUITAR courses).
6)STUDENTS, WHO REGISTERED THE COURSES OF GUITAR , NEY AND FLUTE, SHOULD PROVIDE THEIR INSTRUMENTS BY THEMSELVES.
7) IN ORDER TO CONTINUE THE ADVANCED LEVELS OF THE COURSES, OLD STUDENTS MAY MEET WITH THE COURSE INSTRUCTOR ON THE SELECTION DAY. IF THEY ARE ACCEPTED BY THE COURSE INSTRUCTOR, THEY SHOULD WRITE THEIR NAMES AND REGISTER DURING THE ADD-DROP WEEK. OTHERWISE, THEY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IN THE COURSES.
8) THE CAPACITY OF THE COURSES, WHICH DOES NOT HAVE SELECTIONS, WILL NOT BE INCREASED.
9) GRADUATE STUDENTS CAN REGISTER TO OUR COURSES AS "NOT INCLUDED".
10) PLEASE CONTACT THE DEPARTMENT CHAİR FOR THE COURSE SCHEDULE AND LANGUAGE.
• STUDENTS WITH C.GPA UNDER 1.79 CANNOT TAKE ANY COURSES FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF MUSIC AND FINE ARTS.
